How
to cook with Argo®: To thicken hot liquids first mix Argo® Corn Starch
with a little cold water until smooth, gradually stir into hot liquid
until blended. Stirring constantly, bring to boil; boil 1 minute. 1
tbsp. Argo® Corn Starch = 2 tbsp. flour. Argo® Corn Starch has twice
the thickening power of flour. When a gravy, sauce or soup calls for
flour, use half as much corn starch to thicken. To make cake flour: For
1 cup cake flour combine 3/4 cup plus 2 tbsp. All-purpose flour with 2
tbsp. Argo® Corn Starch. Fun for kids & crafters: Make a batch of
play clay, a mixture of Argo® Corn Starch, baking soda and water; shape
and mold like modeling clay.
